It also makes you understand the importance of family and makes you miss them when they are not around.

The next two films in the series are good too, but this one is definitely the best. An absolute must watch on Christmas because the dialogues can never get too old.

Miracle on 34th Street

You could think about renting the original film, but this one in colour is contemporary and a great way to spend Christmas. Little Susan played by Mara Wilson does not believe in Christmas, however through the film she meets people and discovers a deep seeded belief within herself that the miracle of Christmas really does exist. The movie celebrates the pure joy of the occasion and in the most fascinating fashion makes us fall in love with the aspects that make it special.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Ron Howard’s ‘How the Grinch stole Christmas’ is a must watch for all those who may have some reservations about this amazing festival. Based on the book by Dr. Suess, it tells us the story of a Grinch who absolutely hates the festival of Christmas. He tries to steal the happiness and cheer by taking off with the gifts and goodies from Whoville. But what he does not realise is that Christmas is not just about gifts and goodies, there is more to this occasion, he steals the gifts but he is not able to touch the spirit of those who believe.
