Asia takes the cake with a majority of cities being touted as the fastest growing in the world. On a report compiled by Forbes, India and China make it to the top of the running with a few cities in the middle east and one from Canada and three from America and two from South America and Australia make it in the running too.

1) Chengdu, China

Situated at a distance of only 110 km from Shanghai, Suzhou is known to be China’s second largest industrial city. A few reports suggest that Suzhou may even be the richest city in the country as of date.

4) Nanjing, China
Placed very close to Shanghai, only about 250 kms from Shanghai, Nanjing has been home to tremendous growth in construction given the affordable prices of property. It has a number of industries that too are growing rapidly like electronics, petrochemicals and iron and steel.

5) Ahmedabad, India
Gujarat is one of the fastest growing states in India, and Ahmedabad the seventh largest city in the country is growing with it. Ahmedabad is known for its business friendly policies and is home to some of the largest pharmaceuticals and chemical houses.

Many a foreign countries have skipped Mumbai and chosen Ahmedabad as their docks in the country, IT has recently seen a spur in growth in the city as well.

6) Bengaluru, India
The silicon valley of India saw a number of International companies come into the country at the height of the IT revolution. The city is known to be home to thousands of millionaires and is indeed one of the best places to stay in the country. The congestion in the city is becoming a little overwhelming, which needs to be worked on for it to maintain its status.

Bengaluru was the hub for a number of international companies, who were looking to make it big in the IT sector. However the congestion in Bengaluru has forced many companies from across the globe to turn their affections to Chennai today.

Chennai is known to be the hub of the automobile sector in India. It is also growing given its prowess in the telecommunications and electronics sectors.

Growth and development can be seen as you walk down the roads and experience a different east.
